About the show
The ZOOpa Doopa Road Safety Show is a fun-filled puppet adventure for infants, introducing the basics of road safety in a way that’s easy to understand. Think of it like a visit from the cast of Sesame Street, but with a focus on crossing the road safely!
Tommy the Toucan kicks things off by sharing his top tips for crossing the road. He then invites two lucky volunteers from the audience to help him demonstrate what they have learnt. Zoe the Zebra and Pete the Pelican then take turns in the spotlight to build their own special pedestrian crossings, using more audience helpers to show everyone how it’s done.
The grand finale is a catchy road safety song, sung by the whole audience (yes, that includes you, teachers!), reinforcing all of the important lessons from the show through music, singing, and actions. We apologise in advance to all of the teachers in the audience; you will be humming the song to yourself for the rest of the week!
